THERE ARE 7 OF YOU IN YOUR VIDEO, HOW DOES THAT WORK?
The Hired Guns are available as a 3-piece, 4-piece or 5-piece band. For a 3-piece, choose your favourite singer then add a bass player and drummer. Add a second singer to make us a 4-piece or book all 3 of our singers to make us an all-action 5-piece!
WILL THE SINGER BE THE SAME AS IN YOUR VIDEOS?
Yes, we only use 3 singers in The Hired Guns: Lloyd, Ross and Si. You can pick your favourite (or book 2 or even all 3 of us!) for your party.
IS YOUR SETLIST THE SAME WITH ALL LINEUPS?
Yes it is, though each of us has our own little specialities and party-tricks we like to bust out if the opportunity presents itself!
DO YOU PROVIDE YOUR OWN SOUND AND LIGHTING EQUIPMENT?
We're completely self-contained and bring all the gear we need. When you receive a quote from us, be assured that it includes our audio equipment, travel, public liablity insurance and testing certificates (venues often ask for these - we've got you covered!).
CAN YOU DJ FOR US BETWEEN AND AFTER YOUR LIVE SETS UNTIL THE END OF THE NIGHT?
All our quotes include a free pre-mixed DJ service to keep the music going during band breaks up until the agreed cut-off time. We have a huge collection of party playlists covering all styles but you're welcome to provide us with your own Spotify playlist which we can download into our system and play through our speakers on the night instead.
ARE YOU ABLE TO PLAY WITH A SAXOPHONE, HORN SECTION OR KEYBOARD PLAYER?
Thanks to our collective music industry experience, our phonebooks are full of the best session musicians in the country! We regularly welcome top guest players to the band including saxophones to keyboards, trumpeters to horn sections and female vocalists, all of whom regularly perform with big household name artists. If you have an idea for the band lineup just let us know and we can make it happen!
CAN YOU PLAY AT A VENUE WITH A SOUND LIMITER?
We work with all of our venues to comply with their sound regulations. If your venue has a sound limiter it's best to inform us at the point of booking so we can provide you with the correct advice and quote for suitable equipment to meet the venue's requirements.
WILL YOU KEEP IN REGULAR CONTACT WITH US AND ASSIST WITH TIMINGS/SCHEDULES ETC?
We're always available via email or on the phone and are quick to reply (many bands can take weeks to get back to you - not us!!). Part of our service is to schedule a phone or video call around a month before your event to discuss final timings, practical arrangements and other important details so you can be sure your party will run smoothly on the night. We're happy to offer advice and recommendations or work to your specific plan. We're flexible, too - we can always work around unforseen circumstances and adapt if, as often happens at weddings for example, things run over time.
HOW LONG DO YOU PLAY FOR?
Our standard set time is for 2 hours of live music, split into two 1 hour sets or three 40 minute sets. For evening events, our standard time to arrive and set up is 6pm with a cut-off time of midnight. As with all things Hired Guns, these timings are totally flexible so let us know your preferences and we'll make it work!
DO YOU TAKE REQUESTS?
We love to play a special request or first dance if you'd like us to. We've also played themed parties where we've been asked to play all British songs, all 90s Grunge songs, all country and folk songs... There's a good chance that if you ask us if we can play it, we've probably played it more than once before!
